Just so that you know, between 07/31/08 and 10/01/08 out of the 20 votes he could have cast, he voted four times or 25%. As a mater of fact, there were so many "not voting" during 2007 and 2008, I got tired of counting. Hmm, wonder were he was? Oh, I remember he was running for office. On our tax dollars!! Yes I know all politicians do it. But how many times did you hear about Mc Cain flying back to vote? Alot. After that speech yesterday I posted a blog but ran out of time so I just left it there. I could not sleep very well last night so I did some research. Here are some more interesting votes. All of this info comes from the Washington Post. He said yesterday that one of his main priorities was to take care of Soldiers and Veterans by increasing pay, insuring we have proper equipment and facilities, and benefits. Read below and then you decide. Sad thing is I know alot of Soldiers that voted FOR this guy.
3/1/05 Vote 12: S 256: Sessions Amdt. No. 23; To clarify the safe harbor with respect to debtors who have serious medical conditions or who have been called or ordered to active duty in the Armed Forces and low income veterans.
4/13/05 Vote 93: H R 1268: Byrd Amdt. No. 367; To reduce by $36,000,000 the amount appropriated for "Military Construction, Army", with the amount of the reduction to be allocated to funds available under that heading for the Camp 6 Detention Facility at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
4/13/05 Vote 92: On the Motion: Motion to Table Kerry Amdt. No. 334; To increase the military death gratuity to $100,000, effective with respect to any deaths of members of the Armed Forces on active duty after October 7, 2001.
4/13/05 Vote 91: H R 1268: Motion to Table Durbin Amdt. No. 356; To ensure that a Federal employee who takes leave without pay in order to perform service as a member of the uniformed services or member of the National Guard shall continue to receive pay in an amount which when taken together with the pay and allowances such individual is receiving for such service, will be no less than the basic pay such individual would then be receiving if no interruption in employment had occurred.
7/14/05 Vote 185: H R 2360: Gregg Amdt. No. 1220, As Modified Further; To allocate funds for certain terrorism prevention activities, including rail and transit security.
7/14/05 Vote 187: H R 2360: Frist Amdt. No. 1223; To protect classified information and to protect our servicemen and women.
7/26/05 Vote 205: On the Cloture Motion: Motion To Invoke Cloture On S. 1042; National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2006
12/21/05 Vote 364: On the Cloture Motion: Motion to Invoke Cloture on the Conference Report to Accompany H.R. 2863; Department of Defense Appropriations Act, 2006
5/4/06 Vote 111: H R 4939: Thune Amdt. No. 3704; To provide, with an offset, $20,000,000 for the Department of Veterans Affairs for Medical Facilities.
6/15/06 Vote 172: S 2766: Santorum Amdt. No. 4234; To authorize, with an offset, assistance for prodemocracy programs and activities inside and outside Iran, to make clear that the United States supports the ability of the people of Iran to exercise self-determination over their form of government, and to make enhancements to the Iran-Libya Sanctions Act of 1996.
All of the above listed he voted no on. Notice dates 3/01/05 and 4/13/05 these would increased life insurance and credit protection for Soldiers dieing so he could sit back here safe and sound (and oh yea, run to be are Commander in Chief). 4/13/05 he would not vote to reduce funding to Gitmo, but now he wants to close it. It took him 2 weeks to say anything strong about Iran killing hundreds of protesters. Look at the 6/15/06 vote, people I'm telling you again, I do not believe he believes in the Constitution of the United States of my beloved America. He wants a socialist world government. I think someone should tell him it only works on Star Trek. There everyone goes to work, lives for free on a ship, and when they get hungry all they have to do is push a button.
These are just some, there are more. If you would like to take a look at his entire US Senate record here is the site:

Now for all the Soldiers out there that voted for him, did you really do yourself a favor? And for all the civilians that so call "Support our Troops" and voted for him, I call BULLSHIT!!!!
