Here's the deal. Just like MJ, I don't want to walk on anybodies grave. This is so ridicules that I can not help myself. Before Kennedy died he wrote a letter to the Speaker in the Massachusetts State Assembly. He wrote the letter so they could put forth a bill to change the state law so the Governor could appoint his replacement instead of having a special election. Hmmm, Do we remember what happens when governors are allowed to appoint senators??? Anybody remember Illinois??? No' Bama's old seat??? I'll get back to that.
Don't quote me (I haven't done my research yet) but, If I remember correctly there are 26 states that the governor can appoint a senator if the seat is vacated early. Funny thing is Massachusetts, was one of those states. However, when they thought John Kerry would become President and they had a republican governor, the state legislators went in to action and changed the law so that Mit Romney could not appoint a republican senator. Where was Ted Kennedy when this was going on??? Leading the fight. Yep, he was pushing to get what was the states current law overturned. Now that they have a Demoncrate governor, he and they want to change it back!!!! How Nice!!!! People, I hate thieves and liars. Hippocrates are both. More to follow!!!
