"And I can make a firm pledge: under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 will see their taxes increase - not your income taxes, not your payroll taxes, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes. My opponent can't make that pledge, and here's why: for the first time in American history, he wants to tax your health benefits Apparently, Senator McCain doesn't think it's enough that your health premiums have doubled, he thinks you should have to pay taxes on them too. That's a $3.6 trillion tax increase on middle class families. That will eventually leave tens of millions of you paying higher taxes. That's his idea of change."
No' Bama-Sep '08
Friday night this Hero just implemented a 35% tariff on Chinese tires. When was the last time you were at Wally world? The Dollar Store? K-Mart? Any discount store for that matter? It is all made in China. China owns a Hell of alot of our economy. We just don't print money people, someone has to back it. If no one backs it, the less it is worth. Now, what is going to happen when China says, OK. If you want to tax our tires, we are going to tax your food. All of a sudden we don't have anyone to sell the food to, what are we going to do? Give it to other countries? Yes, we can do that, but it doesn't pay the bills. Or, will we pay farmers not to farm? Like we do now!!! Which really pisses me off. But back to my point.
Everything that comes from China is cheap. That's why people buy the junk, and bitch about it later. Everybody knows that they have slave wages and working conditions. Last time I checked the Chinese had more deaths in coal mines then anyone else in the world. Their working conditions suck. However, if you don't own a set of kitchen utensils from Wally World you make more money than I do. I still buy the shit and complain later. The thing here is they make the cheap tires that I (and most Americans) can afford. So when this guys sticks a 35% tax on them who do you think is going to pay for it? The consumer, that's who. You and me will pay for that 35% tax. I still find it hard to believe that people think that you can tax a corporation and not tax the people. They are not going to suck it up. They are in business to make money, not pay taxes.
Just recently the unions asked No' Bama to impose this tax to help with job loss. The only problem is, with union wages and production laws they can not make the tire at the same cost. So we are going to have less low cost tires and less Chinese exports or lots of high priced tires. How does this help us?
If you are for unions, then same on you!!! If you are in a union, then same on you!!! Unions don't do anything but hurt the American economy. Holy shit, at any given time NY City has 700 teachers sitting in a room doing nothing, because of the unions. They are waiting arbitration. Some of them for up to two years, but are still getting paid. Our tax dollars pay them. Don't think that just because we don't live in NY City that some of our federal tax dollars don't go to NY City school system. If you are in a union a have one of those gravy jobs, good for you. Think about all the money that you pay for "your" union leadership to do nothing. Where else could that money go? For your kids college? For health care? No, not health care, No' Bama is going to tax everyone but the unions on that!!!!!!!
If you want a union, fine. I want a union for "your" Army. Let "your" Soldiers have union benefits!!! Let them have 10 min breaks every hour. Let them call in sick and not have to prove it for three days. Let them say, "hey, I've done my quota for the day, I'm done". Let them say, "hey, I'm off the clock, gotta get someone else". Let them sit in a room with nothing to do "just because". Let them say, "hey, Sgt. union says that I can't fire more than 30 bullets aday".
