ACLU

In 1934 a bunch of World War I vets came together in the Mojave Dessert to put up a cross for the fallen Soldiers. The cross, is a simple white wooden structure is in the middle of the dessert. The aclu on behalf of frank bouno filed a lawsuit in '01. Veterans Groups have lost the case, twice. They are waiting for the US Supreme Court to hear the case this fall. In the mean time the cross was covered with a bag. Some people didn't like that (I think) and cut the bag off. Now, the cross is covered with a plywood box.

We are talking about a 7 foot high white cross erected by WWI vets to honor those that have fallen. Now, it is covered because one di(k that lives in Oregon might drive in the middle of the dessert and be offended. All because it is on (was on) Federal land.

My question? What is next? What about the Vet Cemetery right down the street? Are we going to grind off all the crosses on the stones? Then maybe the Jewish Stars? Is Arlington next? All of it is government land, we obviously need to separate church and state. If we don't start using some common sense, we truly are going to hell in a hand bag!!!!

Do your own research. Check out this site. Fight for the cross!!!
