I just saw a report that New Jersey is hand delivering light bulbs to all households in the state. All, and not the el cheapos, were talking about those very nice mercury filled florescent ones!!! I like this ideal. We need to be more green!!!! I really like it when we substitute one evil for the next. I think if we are going to go to a mercury filled light bulb we must recycle them. That means big signs on the the box, REALLY BIG SIGNS AT THE LIGHT BULB ISLE IN WAL-MART, and as bad as I hate to say it but an ad campaign. Look folks, if we all use one of those it would help, if we changed 100% it would help alot, but what the hell are you going to do with all of those bulbs that contain mercury???? Yes I know, that there is only a small drop in them but multiply that by 12 bulbs? Times 150 million American households. That's alot of drops, in the water that my daughter has to drink. And maybe grandkids in about 90 years, any sooner and I goto gail, lol.
Look, good ideal, not going to work. It's like asking me to use this light bulb because it's better and more efficient, but when it blows then what? You want me to hang on to it until I have enough to make a trip to the recycling center? Not gonna happen, so do I take it by its self? Now, where is the carbon footprint? Needless to say the thing is going to end up in the trash. Most people are going to say F it and throw the thing in the trash.
My hugh 600 sq ft apartment has 13 bulbs. That's 600 sq feet people, now count your bulbs in your house. You guys can tell by reading the blog that I'm not a tree hugger, but I do want a place for my kiddos!!!!
Only way this works.... We make the Wal-Marts of the world to recycle these things and then the cost sky rockets. But back to Jersey!!!! Did I mention that I was born there? Haven't lived there since then but I do still have family that does. NJ is what, the top 4 in highest taxed states in the nation? 11% state payroll tax, 11%, that's above federal income, sales tax, ect....
And oh yea, everyone has seen those plastic bag recycle bins at Wal-mart, how many of you have took your bags back??? Or do you just throw them in the trash?
Did I mention that if those STUPID, STUPID, STUPID STATE CONGRESS PEOPLE don't increase taxes by midnight that the state government shuts down? That's right, if they don't agree on a budget tonight they shut down. Funny how they have money to send light bulbs to everyone.

Decision Time
OK, Today the Supreme Court is suppose to decide on one of Sotomyer's last cases. 20 firefighters have sued the city where they work. They did this because at some point the city put out a memo stating that any firefighter to pass this test would get a promotion. I have read reports that one of these guys actually has a slight case of dyslexia and hired a tutor to help him study. At the end 20 passed, 19 white and 1 hispanic. When this happened the city decided to throw out the test because not enough minorities passed the test. Now, I understand the premise behind affirmative action but this is just plan reverse discrimination.
Can you not hear the city counsel meeting? Well screw these 20, what we need to do is retest. When we get the proper results then we'll promote, maybe by then the white guys will get tried and stop taking the test. Or maybe the other guys will start studying by then, or we could just lower the standards......
I don't know what the test was like but reports say it was not a picnic. What about the 20 that had to put their nose to the grind stone. What about those guys that sacrificed time away from friends and family to study. Now all of a sudden it's sorry about your luck????
So, they take it to court, and lose. They appeal, and lose. But here's the kicker, No' Bama's truly was on the panel. Yep Sotomyer voted against these guys!!!!
Now, I know I'm not a hispanic woman so my judgement is no where near as good as hers. But common sense tells me that if your are going to promote someone you do it on the base of merit and not skin color. However, it seems that my ablity to apply my limited amount supersedes her gross majority.

Bills, Bills, Bills
People we are so screwed. When is this Demoncrate controlled congress going to start reading what they pass?
Seriously it's like; hey I got 1200 pages here that we have to pass today!!! Oh, it's called the cap and trade bill, wait people don't like that so let's call it the energy or green bill and at the end I'll get out there and call it a jobs bill. But either way it has to pass today because we have another 1400 pages tomorrow. Read? Don't read it, you don't have time, just vote yes. Don't ask me how to vote yes, I've always voted present. (This has been a fictitious conversation between the President and the house leadership)
These Demoncrates are scared, they know they are going to lose in 2010, and lose big. Now, they are trying to pass anything they can as much as they can. They now they must do all the stupid stuff before the election year begins this November.
My theory is: The 800 billion in stimulus or (jobs bill according to the cleric Hussein) should have been spent on green energy. Yep all of it. We should have improved and added Hydro power, built tons of solar plants, wind farms, and wave farms. All of these could have been scattered though out the country. The amount of immediate jobs would have been enormous, from day one. From day one you say? I say yes as soon as that bill was signed the companies manufacturing those products would have increased production and added shifts. That right there is more jobs. They would have to expand and refit in some cases, that's more jobs. From the designer to the janitor, all would have seen a boost in employment. Once projects start to become complete you have the maintenance and up keep issue. That again, is more jobs, good high paying, and high tech jobs. Now once these projects are in the works, every American household now gets free electricity (up to a point, maybe $100/mo) for let’s say a period of 2/3 years. That puts money in my pocket and yours. At that point, we all start paying for electricity again but at a much lower rate, all we have to do is pay for salaries, up keep, and repay the government for the loan. Once the loan is repaid the electric bill will drop alitte more. Now even if it cost twice as much as the 800 billion, how much more are we going to spend with the cap and trade? At least at this point we "DO" become green and we all save money in the long run. Our kids will thank us!!
Now for my arguments: We have alot of hydro in this country that is made up of old less efficient generators. We are a Hugh country with lots of land mass, lots of park land. If we did wind farms in and around these, amongst others worst case is the power lines would provide a fire break in the wildness. (again, lots of jobs) Wave farms is a new but good tech as far as I can see, they should be all over the place. They are high maint. but free energy is free energy. Nuke plants? We need more nuclear power plants. They work and they're environment friendly. OOhhhh but what about the waste? You put the stuff on a rocket and send it into space or the sun. But what if the rocket exploded??? Do you know how they transport in now? They do it in containers that can take any amount of damage. The amount of solar power we could create just from the the dessert is insane. And yes, I have thought about dust and sand storms that could and would cover them. That's why we have prisons. Yep, if we don't have one close enough we build one, we need more anyway. Low security prisoners would go out once a day and dust/blow off the panel for optimal performance. BS drone work like that could be done by them and the more high tech labor would be done by high tech guys/gals. When they get out, they would have a foot in the door with a good high paying company. Soon we would have an almost completely free power grid!!!
And then you say, but Dave, you’re missing the most important part of the cap and trade bill...... And I say unto thee, I have missed nothing.
Oh yee of little faith, The Germans made fuel from coal in WWII. That's what we do with our coal industry. Yep, as these new plants come on line we start to refit the coal plant to make fuel, for our cars. Before you know it, we will stop sending billions a year to countries that want to kill us.
Completely energy free, we have the money or at least were willing to spend it in other places. I have covered every part of the country so know one will be left out. Don't quote me on this but I heard a story that the 300 years of Russian Czars they only had 18. I Believe this one will make No' Bama 21. 21 in four and a half months. What ever happen to Dept. Secretaries? You know the ones. Secretary of State, Secretary of HUD, Secretary of Treasury, ect.....
Wait a minute, go back to June 5th and look at the post tittle "No' Bama's Cabinet", if my cabinet looked and acted like his I would want 50 or 60 Czars too!!! My bad Hussein, you go boy, keep up the good work. Or you could just hire people to do their fu(king jobs!!! But, now that wouldn't be your type of government would it? Hell if someone had to do work, they might stand out, they might get a raise or a bonus. Can't do that, it just wouldn't be fair :-(

No' Bama's Speech
If you didn't get a chance to see it, you should read it. The entire text is online, multiple sources I'm sure. There were alot of things that bothered me in his 54 minute grand stand, but I don't think this is going to get enough play. So, I thought I would give my shiny 2 cents worth of intelligent commentary. This comes straight from his speech and no it is not out of content. His words not mine, read below!!
"For we have learned from recent experience that when a financial system weakens in one country, prosperity is hurt everywhere. When a new flu infects one human being, all are at risk. When one nation pursues a nuclear weapon, the risk of nuclear attack rises for all nations. When violent extremists operate in one stretch of mountains, people are endangered across an ocean.
And when innocents in Bosnia and Darfur are slaughtered, that is a stain on our collective conscience. That is what it means to share this world in the 21st century. That is the responsibility we have to one another as human beings.

Yet in this new age, such attitudes are self-defeating. Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail. People this genius doesn't want to turn the Greatest Country on earth into a socialist nation, but I really believe he wants a one world socialist government. I did a paper last year for my US History class. It was on US Foreign Aid. We spend about 8 billion a year in aid to other countries. That's just US Government spending, we as a society spend billions more through different churches and organizations. Ya think it's time we pull back alittle and feed our own first? Any one ever been to the hills in SE KY, TN, or WV? I have, grew up there. I've never been to the inner city of Chicago but I'm sure it is just as bad.
He reminds me of Oprah, let's spend millions to build a school in Africa, but leave 1000's of starving kids in her home town, or what she calls home. He just told the world that we would give Pakistan 7.5 billion to build roads and school, etc..... Last month I picked my daughter up from school. She was limping because she got a splinter in her foot from the play ground equipment (though her shoe). Think we can fix this stuff first???

No' Bama's Trip
No' Bama is about to land in Saudi Arabia. I wonder is he going to bow to his king again or will he wait until no cams and cell phones are there? Will he bow in Egypt? They say he is going to talk about his muslim pride and heritage. Why could we not talk about that during the campaign? Oh I know, cause we would have been attacking him. Let's see, during the campaign he not only down plays his name but he makes fun of it. However; after the election, he goes on record and tells the world that we are no longer a Christian nation, bows to a muslim king, and now is talking about allowing Iran to have nukes.

Bail Out
If we are going to spend billions of dollars to take over the big 3 (which is what we are doing) or atleast 2 of the 3, we need to save cash on advertising. Specifically NASCAR!!! The big three has given tons of cash to the auto racing industry over the years, which is fine as long as I am not paying for it. Honestly, I don't get it anyway. Sitting there watching a bunch of cars go round and round? Buy a hamster!!!! You can watch the freakin thing go round and round on the little wheel all night every night.

No' Bama's Ad-Min-I-Stra-Tion
Ok, I wasn't going to write about this because I really don't want to be marked a bigot, but after this AM I gotta write something. Everyone surely remembers the New Black Panthers last November walking around polling stations with clubs. They were caught on tape with voters and poll workers alike said they were being harassed. Even No 'Bama's networks (nbc,cbs,abc) carried the footage atleast once. No' Bama's administration or Department of Justice dropped all charges. That's like saying, hey we have mid-terms coming in 2010, this time grab some more buddies and go to more stations. WTF?????
Now, the reason I write that is this. No' Bama's DoJ, just told the state of Georgia that they could not require Prof of citizenship in order to vote. I have read the US Constitution, more than once. I love politics and the law and have studied both. I assure you that the intent of the founding fathers was not to let illegals vote. Shortly after the Civil War; along with the Civil Rights movement, we as a nation stopped poll taxes, poll test, and harassment at the polls, etc....
We will let these people go, let others vote that have no right to vote, but charge some old guy trying to defend himself and keep himself from being robbed. I'm talking about the guy in OK City. Yes the last four or five shots might have been excessive, but how many of you have had a gun thrown in your face, I believe this was this guys second time. It's hard to shut off that emotion and adrenaline once it gets going.
Just something to think about. What in the hell are we doing???? What's going on here?
